Q1. Where Is NH Travel location?
We are officially located at Kota Kinabalu(Please refer to contact).
Q2. Can I pickup/return rental car at different location apart from NH Travel HQ & is there any additional fee charge?
Yes. Guest can pickup/return rental car at different location, but additional fee might be imposed depends on the guest chosen location. There is no fees charged for pickup/return in Kota Kinabalu City area while vice versa if outside from KK City area per way such as:
- Kota Belud/Papar: RM100
- Kundasang/Ranau: RM200
- Tenom/Keningau/Tambunan: RM200
- Kota Marudu/Sipitang/Kudat: RM250
- Sandakan/Lahad Datu : RM400
- Semporna/Tawau: RM500
Q3. Can I drive into Brunei?
All Merge cars are strictly prohibited from being driven into neighbourhood countries such as Brunei, Thailand and Singapore.
Q4. How do I return the car after NH Travel business hours and is there any surcharge?
Our operation team will pick up the car & yes, surcharge of RM15 will be charged for services after NH Travel business hours.(0800HRS-1700HRS)
Q5. Can I extend the time period for my rental?
Depends on availability of the car. Please contact our hotline at least 24 Hours before the actual date return.
Q6. Do you provide a map to go to your company when I pickup the car?
No, but normally we suggest our guest to use Waze Application or Google Map for more convenience.
Q7. If I Change my itinerary or cancel my travel. Can I cancel my paid booking and make another booking later?
No refund for any cancellation/amendment. Any amendment date and type of car are subject to availability.
Q8. I have forgotten my booking number. How do I know if the booking has gone through?
Please check your registered email. A copy of the booking confirmation have been sent to your email.
Q9. What is the licence requirements for renting a car?
Renters must have a valid national or International Driving Licence. Other nationals who hold a valid driving licence in English can drive in Malaysia for a maximum of 3 months. Probational licence holders will not be accepted.
Q10. What documentations do I have to present at the rental counter?
Renters must present their I/C or passport, a valid driving licence and a valid credit card. NH Travel reserves the right to refuse its car rental services if these terms are not met.
Q11. Is there a problem if I let someone else drive the car without first listing them as an additional authorized driver?
Yes, If someone else drives the car without NH Travel permission, you have violated the contract terms. This violation could complicate or even negate claims against your personal insurance and negatively impact any coverage you receive. If the police stop the unauthorized driver, that driver can be detained or even arrested because they don’t have any legal right to have possession of the car.
Q12. Are your cars insured?
All vehicles are insured with passenger liability protection, Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection and Third Party Liability
Q13. What type of fuel are used for the car that I rent?
Your rental car will run on diesel or petrol. It depends which model you choose. Please check with our counter representative upon vehicle collection.
Q14. How much of security deposit do I have to pay?
Security deposit RM200 will be collect by cash or swipe using credit card.
Q15. Why do you require deposit from me?
Security deposit is compulsory to cover any damages or summon throughout car rented period.
Q16. Can I bring durian or smoking in the car?
Item/goods or smoking in the car or that bring an unpleasant odour are strictly prohibited in the car and surcharge may be charge upon the additional cleaning services for eliminating the unpleasant odour.
